Entered advertising industry with London agency Foote, Cone & Belding (FCB). Trained in Production, Media and Account Management. Clients included ICI Dulux, British Airways, Gordons Gin.

Moved to rival Doyle Dane Bernbach (DDB). Account Manager, responsible for Cunard (QE2), Seagram, Beecham Drinks.

Joined Cambridge agency Force Three as Account Director, working with Granada TV Rental, Dalgety and Sketchley.

Accepted invitation to become Granada TVR’s Marketing Manager, based at Bedford HQ. Responsible for a rolling marketing programme in support of 425 national outlets.

Returned to Cambridge as Director of Bartlett, Ray & Jarvis, working with Green Giant, Tobler Suchard and Britvic.

Led MBO of this agency with two colleagues, to form Ware Anthony Rust (‘WAR’). As MD, headed up Client Services and a New Business programme which won many clients from major London agencies, including Rank Xerox, Anglian Windows, Araldite, Pickfords, Anglian Water and Fisons.

Co-founded Spirit Marketing Resources in Bedford. As well as national companies (Fyffes, Cow & Gate Nutricia, Electrolux, BAC Windows, London Luton Airport, DuPont Agri, Old Charm Furniture, Sadolin and Britax), local clients I've worked with include:-
